Tiatr Academy of Goa in collaboration with Lucasinho Ribeiro Tiatr Academy, Assagao will celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Lucasinho Ribeiro, The Creator of Tiatr on January 2, 5:30 p.m at Union High School, Assagao.
On this occasion, TAG will present Lifetime Contribution to Tiatr Awards to 4 tiatr artistes - Cezar D’Mello, Menino Mario Araujo, Hilariano D’Costa and Jose Luis Diogo Fernandes (Danny of Ribandar) for their immense contribution towards the development of tiatr stage. They will be felicitated at the hands of Hon’ble Minister for Art & Culture, Dayanand Mandrekar. Besides this, the Lucasinho Ribeiro Tiatr Academy, Assagao will also felicitate two local tiatr artistes of Assagao- Loraine Dias and Stephen Dias. Tomazinho Cardozo, Ex-Speaker of Goa Legislature Assembly and Vasudev Korgaonkar, Vice-President of Zilla Parishad North will be the Guests of Honour while . Priyanka Sangelkar, Sarpanch, V.P. Assagao and Parish Priest of St. Cajetan Church, Assagao Fr. Santano Agnelo Quadros, will be the special invitees on the occasion.
This ceremony will be followed by staging a 1st prize winning tiatr of TAG’s 7th Children Tiatr Competition ‘Good for Nothing’ by Michael Gracias and his troupe.
