Popular Konkani singer and stage artiste, Francisco Bringel, prominently known as Young Chico, passed away at his residence in Guirim on Wednesday. He was 66.
He lives behind his wife, son Anthony Bringel (Junior Chico) who plays the percussions for The Syndicates and daughter, Bushka, who is a singer in her own right.
Family sources informed that he was confined at home for the last couple of years.
The funeral will be held in St Diego Church, Guirim, on January 4 at 4.30 pm.
Young Chico, who was known for his bass voice, will always be remembered for his evergreen tracks of Milenna, Christalina and Nouro, among many of the numbers he dished out during his musical career.
