ICAI – Goa elects its new managing committee

The Goa Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has elected its new managing committee for the term 2025-29. The quadrennial elections for the term 2025-29 were held in January and witnessed participation from chartered accountants across practice and industry.

The newly elected managing committee took charge on February 18, with Vishwanath Bhobe elected as chairperson for the year 2025-26. The other office bearers for the term are Vinayak Dhumatkar (vice-chairperson), Vaibhav Bale (secretary), Akshay Mulgaonkar (treasurer), Sneha Menon (WICASA Goa chairperson), Venkatesh Shenai (member).

Vishwanath Bhobe emphasised the committee’s vision to enhance skill development and knowledge dissemination among chartered accountants while ensuring their holistic growth. He also highlighted the committee’s commitment to empowering CA students in Goa by creating opportunities for learning and professional development.

The ICAI Goa branch aims to promote tax and financial literacy initiatives and plans to collaborate with government bodies and institutions such as the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Goa University, Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), and various colleges to bring meaningful improvements to the financial ecosystem of the State.
