Founded by three brothers, Aaron Fernandez, Judah Fernandez and Caleb Fernandez, the first generation entrepreneurs were motivated by a strong sense of entrepreneurship and an intense love for technology. They founded their own company via bootstrapping. Their first project, Kodework, was the foundation for other profitable businesses that eventually united under the Kilowott brand.
Based in Porvorim, Kilowott uses design elements such as CX, AR, VR and next-gen technologies such as analytics, AI, IoT to craft seamless digital interfaces and operations to positively impact customers’ business growth and profitability.
“We offer consultancy and strategy services in customer journey mapping, customer experience process assessment and surveys consulting, assessment, roadmap ideation and modelling with use cases, brand positioning and go-to market strategy, brand identity development and concept design and prototyping,” said Aaron Fernandez, founder and a core member of the board of directors at Kilowott.
A growth hacker, full stack designer and marketer, Aaron has served as a UI/ UX designer in Norway, where he helped create digital experiences that are tailored to their customers' needs. His passion for creativity led him to build multiple ventures like cofounding NineStack, Fat Hamster, Creometric and Kodework. Judah Fernandez, co-founder mentions that technological advancements need to be ethically sound and sustainable. “The key to sustainable technologies lies in nurturing a collaborative landscape where ethical considerations and inclusive practices propel our technological evolution towards a greener, more equitable future,” says Judah.
“The journey of Kilowott began in 2014 when we brothers came together to launch our first company, Kodework. Over time, we united our various enterprises under a single banner, Kilowott,” shares Aaron who worked a part-time job distributing flyers during his summer break to earn extra money in 2002. Eventually, he sought his college mates' help to expand the distribution system and built an extensive clientele among Goan eateries, nightclubs over time.
Recalling that after this first entrepreneurial experience he headed to Norway for employment, Aaron, who has graduated in media/multimedia and digital communication, shares, “The media firm where I worked required design and development work. I suggested using India, a reputable centre for business process outsourcing (BPO) services, to outsource design solutions. That’s the story of how I got my first client.”
This marked the commencement of his entrepreneurial journey, leading to the establishment of Kodework, a website and e-commerce solution development firm in 2014. Facing challenges in setting up a dedicated team in Mumbai, the trio eventually relocated in Goa a year later, in 2015. In the subsequent years, the three brothers consolidated various enterprises under a unified banner – Kilowott which has partner deals in Norway, Holland, India, Switzerland and the US.

With a bachelor's degree in cost accounting, Caleb is responsible for managing the back-end operations of the firm, including finance, human resources, administration, taxation and legal. Following a brief employment at Godrej's Goa production facility, he teamed up with his brothers to found Kodework, where he oversaw the team of programmers, while he ensured a fun work environment. All the companies were eventually consolidated into Kilowott.
