A seed and fertiliser distribution event was organised for farmers in Piligao as part of the ‘Back to Farming’ initiative under Sesa Goa’ Project ‘Gram Nirmaan’ wherein over 25 farmers received 100 kgs of seeds and 1000 kgs of fertilisers in the presence of Ramakant Tiverekar, Farmers Group Representative, Vedanta Sesa Goa executives Dilip Deosekar, head (logistics) and Ashish Pilankar, head (CSR). The 'Back to Farming' project provided the farmers with essential resources and knowledge, enabling them to enhance agricultural practices and improve their livelihoods. This initiative is a significant step towards sustainable development and the rejuvenation of our farmlands. As part of the event, an awareness session was also organised and the attending farmers were provided inputs on seed varieties, sowing methodology, crop tending and judicious use of fertilisers.
