MANAMA
The Young Goans Club in the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrated the Feast of St Francis Xavier with an Annual Day Ball at the Olive Hotel on November 28 from 8 pm onwards.
The live band ‘3 Notes’ entertained the crowd with their soulful as well as high energy performances as they interacted with all those on the floor. SNS DJs provided visual effects, including dynamic lighting and projections, harmonising with the music in addition to playing upbeat hits during breaks.
A unique gift item of individually bottled feni was available to all those interested in reliving nostalgic memories of Goa. The highlight of the event was a Christmas treat for all children who were handed a special goodie bag.
Several spot prizes of gift hampers and perfume sets were awarded throughout the evening with the lucky winners of the Lucky Dip being invited to cut the celebratory cake marking the Feast of St Francis Xavier. After enjoying themselves on the dance floor, all helped themselves to a lavish dinner buffet.
Officially, the event wound up at 2 am but revellers continued to party until the wee hours of the morning, eventually leaving the hotel at 4 am, exhausted but satisfied.
