LONDON
The Irish Goa Community in Ireland has planned a ‘dine and dance’ event in The Greystones Rugby Club in Wicklow-Ireland on October 6 from 7.30 pm to 11 pm, to raise funds for a unique and affordable community nursing home for the Irish and Goans.

Milla Hancock and Nora Hayden, the Community Leaders of the Irish Goan Community in Ireland and organisers of the recent Goa Day Ireland, said they are hosting the event to raise money for an affordable Irish Goan community nursing home.
“This community nursing home will be the first-ever initiative for Irish and Goans in Ireland. This nursing home will serve two objectives. Elderly people can visit the nursing home on a daily basis and can also carry out activities for the day,” said Milla.
“We dream of an affordable place where elderly people can come, meet up, conduct activities and have a memorable time. Besides hosting fundraisers, we will seek support from the Irish government. We also appeal for donations from people across the world, so that this unique project for the Irish Goan community can be set up in the near future,” Milla added.
Milla said the Irish Goa Community was set up in 2022 and has been organising different events to raise funds for a local community nursing home.
“We hosted a fundraiser through our Irish Goa Family Fun Day in July, which was a huge success. We have also conducted other events like coffee mornings and dinner & dance nights.
