Goa’s nightingale Lorna and leading artistes from the Goan entertainment industry are set to enthral Goans at QD’s, Dubai Creek Resort – Hyatt in Dubai on November 9, to mark 25 years of World Goa Day.
According to the organisers, Dubai Goans, the World Goa Day is a celebration of everything Goan and the Goan diaspora loves celebrating this day annually.
‘No matter where we find ourselves on this vast planet, the slightest whisper of home can ignite a flood of emotions – nostalgia, pride, and a longing for familiar sights and sounds. For the Goan diaspora around the world, that sentiment transforms into a spirited celebration every World Goa Day,’ the organisers stated.
From captivating music performances that stir memories of sun-soaked beaches to the tantalising aroma of Goan Cuisine wafting through the air, every detail will be meticulously crafted to encapsulate the essence of Goa right in the heart of Dubai.
Besides Lorna, other music stars to perform at the event includes Goa’s popular band ‘True Blue’, Rita Rose along with Engel and Al (family of Goa’s Melody King Alfred Rose), Goa’s leading DJ’s DJ Ryan Nogar and DJ Joel along with Dubai’s top talents, DJ Benson, DJ Manfred, MC Hansel and MC Bonnie
The organisers have invited Goans to attend the special event, as they will get an opportunity to meet friends old and new, share the warmth of the rich Goan culture, and dive into a night filled with lively performances and engaging activities.
The festivities will be orchestrated by Neville Menezes, Allen Fernandes, and Billy Fernandes of the Dubai Goans, a trio renowned for curating some of the most lively and memorable Goan events in the Emirates.
Over the past seven years, Neville, Allen and Billy have nurtured a profound community, a melting pot of Goans eager to share their love for their homeland, no matter the distance.
