Five students from Aakash Institute secure ranks in Top 10 in Goa in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage-I with Mahika Harmalkar and Parth Bhate securing second and third position respectively. Mahika secured 145 out of 184 marks and qualified for the next stage of the national exam, while Parth scored 144 marks. A total of 5 students of Aakash Institute, including these two scored more than 130 marks in the NTSE Stage-I examination in the general category across Goa. The other students who also scored ranks are Akshat Mishra, Divij Burudi and Omkar Dhuri. Managing director of AESL, Aakash Chaudhry congratulated the students and hoped that after having secured impressive results in NTSE Stage- I, these students are ready for NTSE Stage- II. The NTSE scholarship under the present scheme is awarded to candidates for pursuing courses in science and social science up to doctoral level and in professional courses like medicine and engineering up to second-degree level. As on date, 2,000 scholarships are awarded in the country with reservation of 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent for other backward classes and four percent for a group of students with benchmark disabilities.
