BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus and Ion Exchange India have signed a “Collaborative Research Agreement” to work closely on water treatment. Ion Exchange India is a leading solution provider to various industries in India and abroad in the water treatment segment. They also have the largest membrane manufacturing facility in India located in Goa. Prof Anirban Roy (Department of Chemical Engineering), Prof Snehanshu Saha and Prof Santonu Sarkar (Department of Computer Science and Information Systems) will be jointly working on some of the challenges related to this sector. Prof Suman Kundu (Director - BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus) and Sridhar Padmanabhan (Senior Vice President - Ion Exchange) signed the agreement. It will present a unique opportunity for creating further collaboration between the two entities in student exchanges, internships and building a strong “Industry-Academia” interface.
