MARGAO: Compassion FC edged past Sporting Club De Rumdamol 2-1 in the Khelo India U-15 Girls football tournament, at Sinquetim Sports Conplex, on Saturday.
Compassion were dominant in the first half and broke the deadlock when Clea Abgail Colaco beat the rival goalkeeper with a deft placement. Vania Godinho scored the insurance goal in the 40th minute.
Post-resumption, Rumdamol troubled the rival defence with sharp raids as Shailaika Rodrigues reduced the margin in the 58th minute.
