The Pilar Monastery situated atop the Pilar hillock has plans to offer regular confession/reconciliation services in order to minister to their flock during Covid times.
Sensing the need to provide people the opportunity to make their confessions, especially during the Advent season and in the New Year, the Pilar Monastery has planned to offer regular confession/reconciliation services every Wednesday and Saturday. These services began from December 19.
Following the SOP and the social distancing norms, the confessions will be held from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm.
“Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the churches had to cancel regular confession services and people longed for spiritual rejuvenation,” Fr Elvis Fernandes, convenor of Pilar Media.
