Akhil Gomantak Vaishya Parishad organised 24th Vaishya Vani Vadhu-Var Palak Melava and Mahila Melava at Krishna D Karwarkar hall in Margao. On this occasion veteran Goan writer Dr Gurudas Bhalchandra Natekar was felicitated and given a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to literature. The award was in the memory of late MLA Raghunath alias Bappa Tople. Rohan Ravindranath Juvali, an industrialist from Belagavi was present on the occasion along with Sunil Radhakrishna Bhogte, president, Sindhudurg Zilha Vaishya Vani Samaj Madhyavarti Samiti, Kudal who presented the award to Dr Natekar. The president of Akhil Gomantak Vaishya Parishad Subrai alias Subhash D Shet Masurkar, secretary Motichand Mhapsekar and other members were present on the occasion.
