The Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ) condoles the death of senior journalist Govind Khanolkar.
Khanolkar was grievously injured in an accident at Honda, Sattari, on Wednesday and breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Goa Medical College, Bambolim, the same night. Khanolkar was 64 and is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
Khanolkar started his journalism career as a mofussil reporter with Tarun Bharat in 1995 and continued reporting for the newspaper from Honda-Sattari till his last breath. He was known as a fearless journalist and always highlighted issues concerning the locals. Khanolkar was the former President of Sattari Patrakar Sangh.The Goa Union of Journalists conveys its deepest condolences to the Khanolkar family.
