MARGAO: Loyola HS of Margao, Bethany Convent HS of Sao Jose de Areal and Perpetual Convent HS of Navelim made it to the semifinals of the U-15 Salcete Taulka Subroto Mukherjee football tournament , organised by DSYA, at Dramapur football ground.
Irwin Faleiro’s lone goal helped Loyola HS to beat Manovikas EHS. Perpetual Succour Convent HS defeated Fr Agnel Multipurpose HS Verna 4-0. Royden Carvalho netted a hat-trick while Anosh Vaz was the other scorer. Bethany Convent also made it to the semis with 4-0 victory over St Jude HS of Betalbatim. Treston Fernandes scored a brace while Swelden Viegas and Jerico Pereira netted a goal each for Bethany Convent.
In the U-17 girls category, Fatima Convent HS of Margao thumped Bloomz International School Nuvem 6-0 to enter into the semifinals. Leanna Pereira scored a brace while Ebbnie Rodrigues, Lynn Fernandes, Quinnell Lourenco and Carrisa Rodrigues netted a goal each for Fatima School.
