Sanguem: The Curchorem Cacora Municipal Council has a new Chairperson after the resignation of Pradip Naik. Prasanna Bhende was the only person to file a nomination for the position, so he was elected unopposed. This was in line with the agreement the councillors made when the council was formed three years ago.
Bhende is the fourth councillor to hold this important role during the current term. After his election, Bhende promised to address all pending tasks and focus on filling potholes on main roads and improving garbage disposal in the council areas as a priority.
