MARGAO: United Sports Club of Seraulim secured a spot in the semifinals of the Vaidya Family Memorial Cup, organized by Cuncolim Union, with a 3-1 penalty shootout victory over Navelim Sporting Club at Cuncolim ground on Tuesday.
The match ended in a 0-0 draw after regulation time, forcing a penalty shootout. Ashley Fernandes, Floscio Fernandes, and Gladston Brangaza successfully converted their penalties for Seraulim, while Navelim's only goal came from Noah Luis.
Sakshan Shanky of United Sports Club of Seraulim was awarded the Man of the Match which was presented by football enthusiast Videsh Dessai.
