The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will hold a session for family-owned businesses on February 24 which will address the unique management challenges they face, more specifically, planning for succession.
The session will be held at Vivanta by Taj from 10 am and will be a half-day affair.
The session on “Decoding Succession Planning for Family-Owned Businesses” will address importance of succession planning, succession laws in Goa, various common concerns faced by family-run businesses, tools of succession planning, ownership in business entities, management of family businesses, consolidated ownership vs fragmented ownership, decision making related to future capital infusion, conflict management and leadership position.
CII has in the past organised several successful sessions on family business and this particular one is designed for all owners, partners, older/ current and next-generation members of family businesses, besides professional managers and individuals in business.
CII said in a release that the objective is to get members involved in family business on a single platform to ease the understanding of succession, transition which most of the times is not easy to discuss.
