Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida lauded Chicalim Sub District Hospital head Dr Rajendra Borkar for having worked tirelessly with dedication and love.
Almeida was speaking to reporters at Chicalim SDH after offering a bouquet to Dr Borkar in the presence of Vasco BJP Mandal President Deepak Naik, MMC Councillor Yatin Kamurlekar and Dr Vivek Pillai.
Dr Borkar has been promoted as Chief Medical Officer and transferred to the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) head office in Panaji.
Dr Borkar said he has served for around three-and-half years at the Chicalim SDH.
"The experience of working here has been overwhelming and I came amid difficulties, but with the cooperation of everyone, we overcame the difficulties.”
“After the new hospital was started, we needed a lot of manpower, equipment and infrastructure, but we gave our best and there were no complains.”
“While I am happy to be promoted, I am equally sad to go from at the Chicalim SDH as I had become attached to the staff and doctors," said Dr Borkar.
