Kishor Kinalekar receives the award.
PERNEM: A physical education (PE) teacher from Pernem Kishor Kinalekar from Lokshikshan High School, Dhargal has been awarded Major Dhyansingh National Award by Chaudhari K Har Singh Education Trust, Baraut, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.
Around 1000 teachers from 22 States in India had applied for the award, out of which 101 were chosen and honoured with the award. Kinalekar has been teaching at Lokshikshan High School for the past 22 years and received the award for his contribution to education, social, cultural, political and other fields. He has guided many students to be good sportspersons and motivated them to play at the national and international level.
He received Best Teacher award in 2022 from Avishkar Foundation, Maharashtra. He is a reputed yoga teacher in Goa, and Patanjali Yog Samiti Goa honoured him with Ideal Teacher award. Kinalekar was also nominated twice for Mukhyamantri Vasistha Guru Puraskar.
