Students of Guardian Angel Primary School presented programmes on the occasion of Independence Day.

Independence Day was celebrated by the Guardian Angel higher secondary, high school, primary section and Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology on August 15.
Various patriotic songs depicting characters of different national leaders and freedom fighters including Jawans were presented spreading the message of peace and communal harmony. Chief Guest Fr Thomas Gonsalves hoisted the National flag in the presence of Higher Secondary Principal Fr Walter Miranda, Headmaster Fr Jerry Vaz, IHMCT Principal Fr Joaquim Rebello and Assistant Headmistress Digna Dias.
“As we hoist the tricolour, we must remember that we are enjoying freedom today because of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. Love is diminishing and brotherhood is lacking today. Remove that hatred and selfishness, grow in friendship and brotherhood as Indians to develop our Country rapidly,” said Fr Gonsalves.
