MAPUSA:
A police officer from the crime branch in Gujarat was allegedly assaulted at a beach shack in Calangute and two employees have been arrested in this connection.
According to reports, the police officer had come to Calangute and had gone to a beach shack owned by a panch member. An altercation is reported to have taken place and the police officer was allegedly assaulted by the restaurant staff.
The matter reached the Calangute police station, but the police officer declined to file a complaint. He, however, requested the Calangute police to take necessary action so that such incidents do not happen to others.
Calangute police, however, detained two employees of the restaurant in this connection.
