A pipe supplying water to Usgao was damaged during road-widening work on the highway at Kerye-Khandepar on Thursday morning. Road widening work has been going on in the area for the past few days and a heavy machinery operator did not anticipate the underground pipeline which. The pipeline was damaged and large quantities of water gushed out from the ruptured pipeline, affecting water supply to many parts of Usgao area. On receiving information about the damaged pipeline, a PWD team rushed to the site and began repair work, which continued till Thursday evening.
