Siya SN Govenkar of Our Lady of Grace High School, Bicholim stood first with 593 marks at SSC, Goa Board and was awarded Rs 7500 Dr V S Mascarenhas science scholarship for 2022, according to a press release. Trishaa GP Vernekar of Dr KB Hedgewar High School Cujira Bambolim with a score of 593 also received Rs7500 Dr VS Mascarenhas science scholarship.
Simona Moraes of St Mary's of the Angel High School and Rachel Erin Lopes each got Rs 12000 as Margarida Science Scholarships. Shaniyah Mendes and Jewelency Fernandes were awarded Rs 12000 and Rs 8000 as Mrs Margarida awards for standing first and second in Assumpta School. The teachers whose students scored 99 or 100 marks and Headmasters ware also appreciated on the occasion. Chief Guest Eng Cruz Silva MLA of Velim Constituency distributed the awards on Sunday. A minute's silence was observed in memory of Dr VS Mascarenhas who passed away on July 19, says a press release from Nelson Lopes, Chairman PC Trust.
