Mapusa police have registered a case against a teacher on charges of beating a 12-year-old student of a school in Aldona. The incident took place on Thursday at around 8.30 am, when the teacher allegedly hit the boy on his ear. The student was moved to the Mapusa District Hospital and later referred to the GMC hospital in Bambolim. The boy's father later filed a complaint with the school management and the Mapusa police. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case against the teacher.
