The Goa College of Agriculture will host ‘Honey Fest’ on April 12 from 3-6 pm at the college premises in Old Goa. This will be the 100th fest curated by Festakar Marius Fernandes, marking it to be a milestone celebration of inclusive and grassroots-driven festival across the State of Goa, stated dean Dr Suresh Kunkalikar of Goa College of Agriculture. Marius Fernandes will lead the ‘Festakarachi Pasoi’ – a heritage walk along with the Dr Kunkalikar and two assistant professors Rajan Shelke, as well as Shashank Naik. A dance piece choreographed by Dr Gwendolyn de Ornelas will be presented. This will be followed by interactive talks, ‘Bolcãocheo Gozalli’ by Prof Carmelito Andrade in conversation with assistant professor Rajan Shelke on ‘GCA research highlights’ and with Manjunath Roberts on ‘Stingless bee management’. Paresh Shetgaokar and Rajan Shelke will speak on ‘Honey packaging and branding’.
