The 10th 40 hours Eucharistic Adoration will get underway on February 29 at 5.30 am at Carmelite Monastery, Margao. A Holy mass, Eucharistic procession and Exposition will be held to begin the marathon adoration. On the same night at 10.00 pm till 5.00 am the full night vigil will be conducted by Fr Jimil VC, Director Divine Ashram, Ahmednagar and Bro Harold Azavedo and Team. On Friday March 1, the Stations of the Cross will be held at 8.00 pm followed by the solemn Thanksgiving Mass at 8.40 pm which will end the 40 hrs adoration. The theme this year is, 'Lord teach us to pray', Luke 11.1. Various groups have been allowed an hour each from the OCDS communities affiliated to Carmelite Monastery to market and vegetable vendors, doctors, schools, lawyers, Catennians, Seminarians, Legion Mary groups, St Vincent de Paul, senior citizens, seafarers, tiatrists & musicians, missionaries, etc. The 40 hrs Eucharistic Adoration is a major Lenten event in Goa and is attended by many who make the religious event a part of their Lenten journey and take time out to spend with the Eucharist, contemplating and reflecting during Lent.
