MARGAO: The second edition of the Bulbul Children’s International Film Festival got off to a scintillating start at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on Monday.
The festival was inaugurated by Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude in the presence of Margao MLA and festival Vice-Chairman, Digambar Kamat, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar, and Margao Municipal Chairperson Damu Shirodkar.
In his address, the Art and Culture Minister urged the children to put in hard work and dedication to achieve success in life, saying opportunities knock at the door only once.
He complimented the people who had visualised and designed the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, showering his praises on all those involved in the execution of the project.
In his brief address, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat complimented the organisers for planning the festival programme in minute detail.
“The performance put up by the children in the first item was indeed unbelievable,” Kamat said, while asking the people to support the childeren’s festival in a big way, as they did last year.
The Bulbul Children’s International Festival will conclude on February 21.
