PERNEM: Daji Shirodkar was elected unopposed as Sarpanch of Dhargal on Wednesday. The post had fallen vacant after Satish Dhumal had resigned from the post a fortnight ago. On Wednesday, a special panchayat meeting was convened to elect a new sarpanch.
Shirodkar was the only panch to file a nomination and he was elected unopposed as sarpanch. Panchas Diptisha Naroji, Preeti Kanolkar, Arjun Kanolkar, Aniket Salgaonkar, Satish Dhumal, and Dilip Veer were present at the meeting.
Later speaking to reporters, Shirodkar assured to justify the trust that the Panch members have shown in him and said development works would be carried out in every ward of the village with the support and cooperation of the government.
