MAPUSA: Renowned pathologist Dr R G Wiseman Pinto, former Head of the Department and Dean at Goa University, was honoured at the M I Bhatia CME at Cama and Albless Hospital, Mumbai. He received the late Dr Winifred Fernandes Gold Medal for his contributions to pathology and cytology. The honour was presented by Dr Usha Saraiya and Dr Bakhtawar Vajifdar, both experts in gynaecology and cytopathology.
The CME featured discussions on the Pap smear, colposcopy, cervical cancer, and recent advances in gynaecological pathology. Dr Pinto delivered a keynote address on “Recent Advances in Gynaecologic Pathology.”
The event saw participation from gynaecologists, oncologists, pathologists, and other medical professionals. Founded in 1866, Cama and Albless Hospital remains a vital healthcare institution for women and children in Mumbai.
