MARGAO: Rishi Kapoor, the former Delhi footballer, passed away at Max Hospital in Delhi on Monday at the age of 48. He had been battling an illness for some time before his untimely demise.
Rishi had stints with Sesa Goa, Salgaocar FC, and Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) Bangalore, his career reached its peak at Mohun Bagan.
Former Sesa Goa defender Levino Anthony Pereira, who played alongside Rishi at the club, shared his heartfelt tribute: "He was a fantastic human being, and it’s deeply sad to hear of his passing at such a young age. We shared many wonderful memories together, both on and off the field."
