MARGAO: Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda secured a hard-fought 5-3 victory over SCC Loutolim in the tiebreaker to advance to the quarterfinals of the 1st Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy, organized by Batora United Club in association with Margao Sports Club, at the DSYA Ground in Curtorim on Saturday.
Omkar Gaukar opened the scoring for Fr. Agnelo YSC while Ignatius D'Silva equalized for SCC Loutolim.
In the subsequent tiebreaker, Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda emerged victorious, converting their penalties with precision. Noted tiatrist and actor Antonette de Maina, along with Alison de Curtorim and Amresh Kamat, presented the Man of the Match award to Sowell Fernandes of Paroda.
