MARGAO: Enfermos Sports Club delivered a dominant performance, defeating Cana Benaulim Sporting Association 4-1 in the GFA Futsal tournament at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium in Navelim on Wednesday.
Sam Moura, the Enfermos goalkeeper, stole the show with an impressive hat-trick.
Cana Benaulim initially sparked excitement when Alejo Fernandes opened the scoring. However, Enfermos responded strongly. Goalkeeper Hansulam Furtado leveled the score in the 14th minute, setting the stage for Moura's heroics. Moura then took control, scoring three goals in quick succession in the 25th, 32nd, and 35th minutes, securing a decisive victory for Enfermos.
In another exciting match of the evening, Verna Cultural and Sports Association emerged victorious with a 5-3 win over Clube Desportivo Joens de Ribandar.
