The steering committee under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, has been constituted to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the tribal youth icon of India. On the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary celebration, the IEC Campaign of the newly launched scheme of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi titled `Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)' will be held in both the North and South Goa districts. ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)’ will be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim. Birsa Munda Gaurav Yatra will be flagged off at Hutatma Smarak, Patradevi, Pernem. Awareness campaigns of various government initiatives, registration of new voters, Aadhar enrolment will be held at office of Dy Collector and SDM, Dharbandora, Ravindra Bhavan, Canacona and at Sanguem Municipality Hall, Sanguem. To mark the occasion Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from Jamui, Bihar and the programme will be streamed live across Indian states.
