PANAJI: Kala Academy Goa will celebrate World Theatre Day on March 27 with a special event at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji, at 6:30 pm. Govind Gaude, Minister for Art & Culture and Chairman of Kala Academy, will be the Chief Guest, while Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary for Art & Culture, will be the Guest of Honour. As part of the celebrations, the NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future, Georgia, will present the play ‘Life of a Clown’ by Liberty Theatre.
Earlier in the day, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, Georgian theatre experts will conduct a workshop at the Black Box, offering hands-on training in unique performance techniques. The session aims to enhance the skills of theatre students and faculty by exposing them to international theatre forms. Kala Academy has invited theatre enthusiasts to attend the play, which is open to all, and encouraged students and artists to participate in the workshop to expand their theatrical knowledge.
