PANAJI: Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar on Tuesday released a book of poems ‘Antarmanatil Spandane’ (Inner Vibrations) penned by journalist Nivrutti Shirodkar at the Raj Bhavan in Kerala.
Arlekar released the book in the presence of Chandel-Hasapur Sarpanch Tulsidas Gawas, journalist Mahadev Gawandi and President of Navchetna Yuvak Sangh Krishna Palekar
Praising Shirodkar for his contribution to literature and journalism, Arlekar said he had interacted with Shirodkar while was the then MLA of Pernem constituency, and subsequently went on to serve as minister and speaker.
The governor encouraged Shirodkar to make a contribution in social work as well.
Shirodkar said his book of poems had been conceived during the Covid pandemic when many restrictions were imposed on journalists. “As it was difficult to move around at the time, I began to write poems during the pandemic,” said Shirodkar.
