PANAJI: Neelai Naik was awarded Best Music Video for the Konkani song ‘Hye Moga Sang Mhaka’ at the 2nd edition of the Maharaja Film Festival, recently held in Mumbai. The song was written and composed by Neelai Naik, sung by Shiv Naik, directed by Sangramsinh Gaikwad, with cinematography by Dev Naik. The lead roles were played by Yash Karpe and Shriya Tengse. Several other artists were also part of this music video. It was officially released on 14th January 2024 by Deliha Lobo at ESG.
The awards ceremony took place on 29th March at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in Mira Road, Mumbai. Speaking about the win, Neelai said, “It was a great honour to be part of this festival. Representing my state and winning an award for Goa was the happiest moment for me. I also request the Goa Government to include a ‘Music Video’ category in the International Film Festival held in Goa every year. I would like to personally meet the Chief Minister to submit my proposal on this matter.”
