PANAJI: After 40 years, the Society of Pilar will present a Lenten operetta on the serene Pilar Hillock outside the Pilar Monastery Church on April 5 at 7 pm.Jivitachem Jivit, Uzvaddacho Uzvadd, a play on the Passion of Jesus, has been scripted by the well-known theatre personality Fr Dominic Alvares, SFX, and Biblical scholar Fr Diogo D’Souza, SFX.The play is directed by Fr Ze Baptista, SFX, and the music is directed by Maestro Fr Peter Cardozo, SFX.
Others involved in the Lenten operetta include Fr Lawrence Fernandes, SFX (Producer), Fr Anthony Joseph Fernandes, SFX (Executive Producer), Fr Agnelo Gomes, SFX, and Fr Diogo Roger D’Souza, SFX (Creative Directors), Fr Adrian Furtado (Set Designer), Fr Elvis Fernandes, SFX (Music Co-ordinator), and Fr Joseph Fernandes, SFX. Also part of the team are Fr Lionel Fernandes, SFX, and Fr Andrew Joseph, SFX (Technical Directors). The entire hillock will be transformed into a living mega stage. The show is free, and people are invited to come and be part of the Passion of Christ, states a press note.
