The body of Vinay Dessai (43), who went missing in the Zuari River at Baga-Xelvona, was retrieved on Saturday afternoon. Sources informed that Vinay Desai, a plumber by profession, had gone for a picnic at Baga-Xelvona along with his family after the Holi celebrations. The panic-stricken family members alerted a former panchayat member who reported the matter to the Curchorem fire station. Firefighters, however, could not trace the body till late Friday night.The body was which was recevered on Saturday was later sent for a post mortem before it was handed over to the family for final rites.
