The Rotary Club of Miramar organized a special event to honour five outstanding individuals who have dedicated over 25 years of selfless service in their respective fields. The awardees included: Demani Gangaram Kakatkar – milk supplier; Josefina Vaz – fisherwoman; Pravin Dina Murgoankar – newspaper supplier; Krishnanath Gangaram Chari – clerk at Mahalaxmi Temple and Soma Narayan Dhargalkar – cemetery helper. During the ceremony, the awards, which included cash prizes and certificates, were presented by Chief Guest, Dr Vinaykumar Pai Raikar (PDG), in the presence of the awardees' families. Dr Raikar commended the efforts of the honorees and emphasized the importance of small yet significant roles in our lives, encouraging them to serve as role models for future generations. He also expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club of Miramar for organizing such a meaningful event. The event was attended by club members, including President Rtn Siddharth Deshpande, Secretary Rtn Samrat Kamat, Vocational Service Director Rtn Shantendu Mohite and others. The ceremony was hosted by Rtn Trupti Patil.
