Telugu film choreographer Shaik Jani aka Jani Master was arrested by the Cyberabad Police in Arpora, after he was accused of sexually assaulting and harassing a 21-year-old junior choreographer.
According to reports, the victim, a junior choreographer who worked with the suspect, went to the Raidurgam police station accusing Jani Master of sexual assault.
A complaint was filed on September 11 and on September 15, a case was registered against Jani Master under the Zero Section and the case was registered at the Narsingi Police Station on September 16.
Jani Master, however, left Hyderabad and police had formed a special team to nab the suspect.
On Wednesday night, the Cyberabad police received information that the suspect was residing in Arpora and alerted the Anjuna police.
Acting on the information, a team led by Anjuna Police Inspector Suraj Gawas nabbed the suspect and arrested him while he was taking a walk in Arpora early Thursday morning.
A Cyberabad police team arrived in Goa and took custody of the suspect, before leaving with the suspect after taking a transit remand from the Mapusa Court.
