PANAJI: Vedanta Sesa Goa has unveiled the Iron Ladies India ‘25 initiative, themed ‘Shakti Se Pragati’, to celebrate International Women’s Day. The campaign aims to empower women, enabling them to realise their potential and contribute to a more equal society.
Building on the success of previous editions, Iron Ladies India ‘25 will create an environment where women can drive progress within Vedanta, local communities, and towards the vision of Viksit Bharat. It aligns with the United Nations’ theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
Navin Jaju, CEO of Sesa Goa, emphasised Vedanta’s commitment to diversity and equal opportunities, highlighting initiatives like Project ‘Jivika’ (tailoring centres), ITI computer courses for digital literacy, women-run self-help groups, and sports programmes such as the Girls Football Centre and Vedanta Women’s League. These efforts continue to foster women’s empowerment, personal growth, and societal advancement.
