VM Salgaocar Foundation hosts Portuguese Ambassador

PANAJI: The VM Salgaocar Foundation recently hosted the Ambassador of Portugal to India, Joao Ribeiro de Almeida, during his visit to Goa for the Sixteenth International Seminar on Indo-Portuguese History, held in Panaji.

Addressing the gathering, Dattaraj Salgaocar, Trustee of the VM Salgaocar Foundation, highlighted the deep historical connections between India and Portugal. He remarked, “Your presence is a testament to the rich cultural and historical tapestry that this seminar seeks to explore and celebrate. Such interactions and exchanges deepen our understanding and appreciation of the shared heritage that shapes our identities.” 

The seminar attracted delegates from Portugal, Brazil, Italy, France, the United States, and various parts of India, and centred around the theme Encounters of Cultures between India and the Atlantic.
