The Margao police has claimed to have resolved the theft that had taken place outside the Navelim Church on Sunday when a miscreant had decamped with cash, including foreign currency, amounting to Rs 50,000.
DySP Santosh Desai informed that the police has nabbed the accused person with the help of intelligence, including CCTV footage.
He said the police is in the process of recovering the stolen booty from the dickey of the two-wheeler which was parked outside the Church when the rider had gone for the Sunday mass.
Further investigations are on.
