Courts to resume work from Monday

All the District and subordinate courts will start normal physical functioning as per pre-pandemic days with 100 per cent attendance of judicial officers and staff in both the sessions.

Registrar General of High court has conveyed the directions of Chief Justice and Judges of Administrative committee to start normal functioning of all the subordinate courts from February 14, 2022 to March 4, 2022.

As per the directions the Principal District judges have issued a circular to start court function in full swing.

“All Covid-19 safety and precautionary measures (i.e. wearing of masks, sanitization, social distancing norms, vaccination etc) will be set forth by the central government, state government and local authorities etc from time to time, shall be adhered scrupulously by all the District and Subordinate courts in the North-Goa", says the order issued by the B P Despande, Principal District Judge and Session Judge, North Goa.  

The courts were functioning with limited staff and only litigants advocates were allowed in the courts.
