Margao student, Navinya Desai, topped the rankings among all Goan students at the Joint Entrance Exam [JEE (Main)] results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
He had a percentile of 99.88 and is a student of Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School at Cujira. He is the son of Devanand Desai, a lecturer teaching mechanical engineering at the Government Polytechnic in Curchorem and Ms Premta Desai, a teacher at Curchorem's Sarvodaya High School.
This year onwards, admissions to all Engineering Colleges in Goa will be based on the scores of JEE with the State government discontinuing the practice of conducting the Common Entrance Test (CET).
