2,000 AYUSH docs to receive training

In a  major decision, around 2000 plus registered AYUSH doctors in Goa will be trained and empowered with Primary Trauma Care Skills.

A beginning will be made on February 28 when the Goa Council of Ayurvedic and Other Allied Indian Systems of Medicine along with National AYUSH Mission, AYUSH Cell, Directorate of Health Services Government of Goa and LifeLine Foundation, supported by HDFC Bank Parivartan under its CSR will conduct Primary Trauma Care Workshop for registered AYUSH Doctors on at the South Goa District Hospital Margao

It is noted that 4,30,504 accidental deaths occurred  in India according to NCRB in 2022. Taking this data into consideration, it is pointed out that if proper and timely intervention is done within the golden hour 50 per cent of the population could have been saved.

“We have around 2000 plus registered AYUSH doctors in Goa. The plan is to train and empower all these doctors with Primary Trauma Care Skills. This concept of training was presented to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who has highly appreciated this concept and assured his support towards such upskilling initiatives”, sources informed.

The Chief Minister has been invited as the Chief Guest for the inaugural for the Primary Trauma Care Workshop.
