In more trouble for commuters in the capital city, the Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has issued an advisory that a stretch of road at Bhatlem, from the Ram Mandir and Masjid to the SFX Chapel at Portais, will be shut for vehicle movement.
“Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) notifies the temporary closure of Bhatlem Road, stretching from the 4 Pillar junction to Ram Mandir, as part of ongoing sewage infrastructure development under the Smart City Mission,” IPSCDL said in the advisory.
The project involves the construction of sewerage manholes, chambers for house connections, and the interconnection of sewer lines.
The advisory said that in the first phase, the area from Rajdeep Anandi Residency to Mars Supermarket, Dhanlaxmi Nagar Co-Op Housing Society, will remain fully closed from January 15–30, during which period four-wheeler access will not be available for both residents and commuters.
It said diversions have been planned to facilitate traffic movement, and traffic from Madhuban Circle to Rajdeep Anandi Residency is advised to take the route via Altinho.
