In what is perceived as another outreach to the followers of Babasaheb Ambedkar, BJP leaders paid tributes to the Father of the Indian Constitution as part of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan Sammelan at the party's South Goa district office on Tuesday.
BJP ex-Rajya Sabha MP Amar Sable, BJP State president Damu Naik, and former MP Narendra Sawaikar addressed the Sammelan. Party leaders Digambar Kamat, Krishna Daji Salkar, Ulhas Tuemkar, and former Dy CM Chandrakant Kavlekar were among the party leaders present at the program.
In his address, Amar Sable recalled the statement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he would not have been the country’s Prime Minister if not for the Constitution given by Babasaheb Ambedkar.
BJP state president Damu Naik paid his tributes to Ambedkar for giving the country the Constitution after taking the salient features of the constitutions of various countries across the world.
