Goa’s tableau for the 76th Republic Day Parade in New Delhi will showcase “Swarnim Bharat, Virasat aur Vikas,” (Golden India, Heritage, and Development) depicting state’s rich culture, traditions, and progress.
The tableau has been designed and executed by a team of 30 Goans led by renowned artists Sushant Khedekar and Purnanand Paidarkar. The group includes artisans, fabricators, carpenters, and fibre work specialists.
Adding a unique touch, Kaavi artist Sagar Naik Mule brought Goa’s traditional red-soil artwork to the tableau, while Soham Ghate extended logistical support.
The performing artists’ team, led by Dinesh Priolkar, features choreography by Nishad, costumes by Sangeeta and Avani Khedekar, and music composed by Dr. Saish Deshpande.
Fabrication work commenced on December 26, 2024, at Rashtriya Rangashala Camp, Delhi Cantt
The Goa tableau will also be showcased at the Bharat Parv celebration in front of the Red Fort from January 26 to 31, 2025, where visitors can enjoy cultural performances by artists from various states.
